Creating Bulleted and Numbered Lists

Bullet points are useful for bringing points to the notice of your readers. If you have already typed a list or group of paragraphs that you want to bullet you can highlight the text and click on the Bullet icon  to apply the bullets .  Alternatively, you can start Word entering bullets as you type by starting a line with * and then typing your first item.  Here is an example of a bulleted list.

·         Ease of use

·         Availability

·         Cost

To stop the bullets being applied as you type, click the bullet icon again and new lines will no longer be bulleted.  If your text is still indented after turning off the bullets, click on the Decrease Indent icon .
