Grouping Drawing Objects
To group shapes into one shape click and hold down your
left mouse button while dragging out an imaginary box (DO NOT click any shape
icons) around the whole design. When
you release your left mouse button you will see a series of boxes dotted over
your shapes, this shows that you have selected all the component shapes of your
design. When you get to this stage,
click on the Draw button on the Drawing Toolbar and choose Group
, your design will now have just one set of handles around the outside and will
now act as a single object. If you
want to ungroup the design so you can edit an individual component, select the
object and click on the Draw button on the Drawing Toolbar and choose Ungroup
, the item will now be disassembled into its original components.
Note that you will not be able to apply different animation effects to the components of a grouped object, only one effect can be applied to the whole object.
