EXCELFraction FormatIf you enter a decimal number in a cell, Excel can format it as a whole number and a fraction. There are various options available and if you choose a unit such as quarters, Excel will display the number to the nearest quarter. If you use an option like ‘up to three digits’, Excel will convert the number to the nearest fraction it can up to 1/999.
